Samantha Cherry Engraving

Samantha is 25 years old with a degree in fine arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She decided to become an engraver some time ago after her father, Kevin Cherry, who is the current owner of Cherry's, discussed those possibilities with her.

She started with a basic engraving course offered by the renowned master engraver Mike Dubber of Evansville, Indiana. Mike took the time to teach her basic engraving skills and felt that Samantha had sufficient skills to be successful as an engraver.

In the fall of 2014 Samantha traveled to Italy to study the art of engraving at the renowned Bottega Incisioni di Giovanelli in Gardone, Italy. Cherry's and the folks at the bottega have been friends for many years and have done a wealth of projects together. Samantha spent six months there under the direction of master engraver Dario Cortini who taught her many skills.
